Question by Who am I?: where do you shop after Gymboree and Childrens Place?
What are some clothing store ideas after your little girl is too big for Gymboree and Childrens Place and such? To me, it seems there is a large jump from these nice “little girl” fashions to the tween-ish stores like “Justice” and “Limited Too”. Especially if you are buying for a girl who is tall for her age. I don’t want my 5 year old wearing Justice yet! Even the department stores seem to buy into this tween image and I can’t stand it.

Hmm… have you tried old navy?

  • mlima:

I like to shop at Kohls

  • super_mom:

Target. Kohls is a good suggestion, too, as they carry some of the same brands as Childrens Place.

i think the best places to shop would be Gap or Old Navy. They have cute clothes for your 5 year old, both play and dress.

Gymboree is super cute. Dont go near childrens place they used to have such cute stuff but now its all sparkles an glitter on everything. Gymboree is perfect for a 5 year old. Also Macys kids section has cute stuff

Buy clothes from Healthtex for little ones. It is far cheaper than Children’s Place or Gymboree.

As for where to buy between Gymboree and Limited Too try the clothing line called Garanimals. I might be spelling that wrong.

I never buy any of that expensive mess. i have a sewing machine and I make my girl her own pretty dresses, the rest like Dora and Spongebob shirts and pant sets i buy from wally world. i refuse to spend hundreds of dollars on stuff kids will grow out of in a few months or ruin in play anyway. Those places like “gymboree” are just status symbols to the dying middle class. Learning to sew is a great skill to have.
