Question by Jean Harlow!!: How much newborn clothes to buy?
I am due on September 30th and I am clueless about how much newborn clothes to buy? I have couple of newborn onesies , couple of onesies that are from 0-6 months, maybe 2 or 3 fleece outfits for a newborn and maybe 4 or 5 sleepers. This is my first child and I am unsure about how many outfits a day do they go through and how fast are they grow out of it. Moms please help!!!

I wouldnt buy too many outfits for a newborn, they grow out of them so fast and i usually ended up putting my newborn in a onesie instead of an outfit. Plus you’ll find that people will buy you gifts for the newborn that will usually be newborn sized clothing i would go for 0-3 and 3-6 month clothing.

Question by : Do newborn baby clothes usually last beyond 8 pounds like the tag says?
I have a ton of newborn clothes but my doctor is saying the my baby is going to be a big boy. I’m worried nothing will fit him.

Some babies never fit in the newborn sizes. My son was born at a tiny bit over 8 pounds and only wore one newborn outfit during the first 1-2 weeks and that was it. Of course all newborn sizes vary a little bit by brand.

Question by ang: why isnt my newborn fitting into her clothes?
I had a little girl on 9/13 and she was born at 8lbs 3.8oz. When she came home she was the same weight, only problem I have is she is swimming in the newborn clothes that say up to 8 pounds. I dont get it, why isnt she fitting into newborn when she is over 8 pounds. I never remember having that problem with my son who was 8lbs 6oz
I dont consider her to be that long, my son was 21 inches when he was born and she is only 19 inches.

I had the same problem, so I bought 2 preemie outfits, even for an 8 pound baby. Just roll sleeves up, it wont be long before shes outgrown everything lol.

Everyone told me that, and I listened. My daughter is still in newborn sized clothes at 5 weeks and the 0-3 month ones are still swallowing her! lol. I wish I would have bought more newborn clothes because all of her cutest clothes are 0-3 months!:)
